Driver Information

I wanted to race sprint cars since I was 6 years old, and watched Johnny Suggs wheel one. I started racing micros in 1979, and got my first "job" driving in the Jim Tucker electric #4 modified in 1984.

Got my first sprint car ride in 1992, driving for Johnny and Martha Suggs.
We won several races together, and I learned a lot, both on and off the track, from the man I still consider my racing mentor.

I owned my own sprint car for several years, with limited success, and in 1999, started driving a midget for Rick Burdick.
With Rick and his first class equipment, we won dozens of races, and several championships together.

When Smiley Sitton started the Sprint Series of Texas, he asked me to drive a car for him.
With Smileys car, and Rick Burdick as crew chief, we won the very first SST race, and have won a couple dozen since!
