Jason Brandt
East Peoria, IL
Driver Information
I race the #33 Brandt Tuning Hobby Mod. My dad Gerry and I put together the rule package for Fairbury Speedway's Hobby Mod class, and have developed it into the fledgling beginner class that is needed at most speedways.
Our car is an older FastBoys car, upgraded to a Brandt Tuning 3-Link rear suspension.
I've been involved in racing for several decades, doing suspension work for the #36 car of Eric Vaughan. In 2012, I began building my own car, and was able to get on the track in 2014. We raced with Fairbury's UMP Modifieds in 2014, before starting the Hobby Mod class in 2015. In 2015 and 2016, I competed in the Hobby Mod class, and plan to continue doing so in 2017.
My dad and I started Brandt Tuning in the early 2000's, focusing on race management software. Since then, our focus has shifted to chassis and engine work for dirt modifieds.
My current full time job is Sr. Systems engineer and System Admin Supervisor for Pearl Insurance in Peoria Heights.
