Thoughts as 2019 comes to a close

Well the 2019 is starting to wind down for Lighting Sprint Racing in the area so i have had a few days to reflect on how the season has gone. I was actually reading the news from the test n tune and how i said i had improved my entry into turn 1 & 2 at BRRP turned out to have been true as it lead to a great weekend for the corncob nationals. While i never set any specific goals in my first two years of racing this year i set a few and hoped to accomplish them since now i felt i had equipment that was just as good as anyone else in the field. I had set a goal in my mind of a couple heat wins and three feature wins for the season. Truthfully i would have been happy with just one feature win since over the 1st two years i felt i let a couple slip away! with still two local races to go (River Cities & Devils Lake) and the Lightning Sprint Nationals left we can still add to that win total. We have not had great success at River Cities this year but i did have a solid run at Devils Lake at my only race there this year. Hopefully we can get two good solid runs in and be ready for the Lighting Sprint Nationals in Eldon Missouri at Lake of the Ozark Speedway again this year. Last year we did fairly well considering i had never been to that big of a race and did not have my crew to help with the car so i look forward to improving this year!
Thanks to everyone that helps on the #100!!! I couldn't have had such a good season if not for their help!!
And thanks to the wonderful sponsors that help us get the #100 machine to the track and allow us to spotlight their product and/or services every time we leave the shop!! THANK YOU!!!!
