Test N Tune BRRP 8-25-19
Well the weather held off and we were able to get a test n tune in tonight at Buffalo River Race Park and it was an exciting evening to say the least!!!! For me i love racing as i have been a part of it all of my life as a fan, part of a pit crew or as an official in some capacity for over 30+ years. This year marks my 3rd year of racing and all three of those are in the lighting sprint class. This class has had me hooked since getting behind the wheel and we encourage anyone looking for an exciting class to race to check out the lighting sprints!!
Tonight the test n tune was just that and while it didn't finish as we hoped i think we made a few people happy had some fun!!! It was great to see some kids testing out the lighting sprints from the karting club along with Alyssa White turning a couple sets of laps and despite a part failure that ended up with the #100 on it's side it was still a fun evening watching these kids get faster each lap that the did.. I am excited to race the lightning sprints and can't wait to see what exciting new drivers begin in the next year or two and the opportunity to help them learn grow as we build the foundation for the next generation of drivers!!
On the plus side i think we found why the #100 wouldn't turn late in the race Saturday night and i also improved my entry into 1 & 2 corners so i look forward to the upcoming Corn Cob Nationals this upcoming Saturday and Sunday at Buffalo River Race Park.
