Horton competes in two divisions at Talladega Short Track

Austin Horton made his lone start of the weekend at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday to compete with the Crate Racin' USA Series in the Golden Hornet 50.

With 48 Late Models stacked into the pit area, Horton was unable to make a qualifying lap after mechanical issues plagued his night. He was a scratch for the remainder of the evening.

In Modified competition, Austin finished fourth in his heat before fading in the main event to finish 17th.
