Horton nabs eighth-place finish at Rome with Crate Racin' USA
On Saturday, Austin Horton entered the Brandon Duke-owned No. 01 Crate Late Model into action with the Crate Racin' USA Series at Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.) for the Thunder in the Mountain event.
Following a seventh-to-third charge in his heat race, Horton won his consolation race which earned him a spot in the $10,000-to-win feature. Rolling off from the eighth-row in the 50-lap main event, Austin gained seven positions on his way to an eighth-place finish.
