The following night at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned B.J. Parker Memorial Governor’s Cup, Austin scored a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 14th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-5, Horton advanced forward 11 spots in the 60-lapper to register a third-place finish. He followed Michael Page and Dalton Cook across the line with Dylan Knowles and Josh Adkins rounding out the Top-5.
