Pair of Top-5 finishes with Southern All Stars at Senoia

On Friday evening, Austin Horton invaded Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) to enter his Orr Trucking No. 16 Late Model into battle for the Southern All Star Series doubleheader weekend. Drawing 24 Late Models, Horton topped the charts in time trials, which placed him on the poke for the A-Main. After pacing the field for the first 17 circuits, Austin settled in with a runner-up finish when the checkered flag flew. He followed Ashton Winger across the line with Shane Clanton, Brandon Overton, and Dalton Cook rounding out the Top-5.

For the Hence and Reba Pollard Memorial on Saturday, Austin followed up the second-fastest time in his group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $10,000-to-win A-Main in third, Horton dropped one spot in the 52-lapper to place fourth. He trailed Ashton Winger, Brandon Overton, and Ricky Weiss to the checkers with Shane Clanton coming in fifth.
