Because of my husband's passion of racing, I've been involved with this sport for almost 20 seasons. After a few years of helping and watching, I ran two seasons in the Powder Puff class at the then Noise Park Raceway. Season champ two years too! Mike decided that I needed to step up my game, and I started running with the Mini Stocks. Boys were no fun to race with, so I retired my helmet. Fifteen years later, in order to get my helmet out of retirement, I had to buy a new one! Started racing again season of 2016 and had a blast, so I think I will try it again this season.

Career - real work?! I've been at the INL for over 30 years (do the math quickly!) The cool thing is all the different jobs I've had - system engineer, cost estimating, project management, and now in the project controls department manager. And to think it all started with an engineering degree plus construction experience, and time spent as a Corner Pockets waitress!

Now we're talking! The time spent renewing my soul is mostly in a garden. Or at a sewing machine. Or at an embroidery machine. Or maybe even at a longarm quilting machine! That's the softer side of Blackjack Motorsports.
