Winger invited to Intercontinental Classic at Eldora

After promoters and race officials were forced to postpone the 50th annual World 100 to 2021, Ashton Winger was one of 48 Late Models invited to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday night to take part in the Intercontinental Classic. Losing one spot in his heat race to finish ninth, Winger transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature. The following night for another $10,000-to-win preliminary feature, Ashton suffered a flat tire while running in a transfer spot that forced him pitside. Instead of competing in his B-Main, Winger elected to scratch from the remainder of the weekend to save equipment.
