Winger finishes seventh in World of Outlaws point standings
After officials were forced to postpone the Can-Am World Finals to 2021 due Covid-19 restrictions, Ashton Winger invaded the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) on Wednesday night for the Last Call. In a stout field of 55 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Ashton came in eighth in his heat before placing sixth in his B-Main. The following night for another $12,000-to-win A-Main, Winger posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Dale McDowell, which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the finale. Running into trouble late in the feature, Ashton pulled off early on lap 37 with 13 circuits remaining.
Ashton finished seventh in the final World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
