Poore marches to sixth-place finish at Wythe Raceway
Taking part in an action packed Memorial Day weekend, Terry Poore traveled to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon to enter his Tarr Chevrolet No. 2 Late Model into battle.
After getting behind the eight-ball in time trials, Poore charged from the 17th-starting position in the feature to finish eighth.
Joining the American All-Star Series presented by PPM on Saturday at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, TN) for the Mayhem in the Mountains opener, Terry edged his way into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Terry improved four spots to place 11th.
For the $5,000-to-win event on Sunday at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.), Poore clocked in 14th-fastest overall before placing fifth in his heat. Rolling off on the eighth row for the feature, Terry marched through the field 10 spots in the 50-lapper, reeling in a sixth-place finish.
On Monday afternoon at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) for the Crate Late Model portion of the Scott Sexton Memorial, Terry gained one spot in the feature to finish 11th.
