Terry Poore Contests Three-Race Holiday Weekend
Terry Poore embarked on a three-race swing over the course of the Independence Day weekend. The action kicked off on Friday night at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tenn.) with the $3,000-to-win American All Star Racing Series-sanctioned J. Paul Smith Memorial. Twenty-two entries registered for battle in the event, and Terry earned the 13th-starting spot via preliminary action. The team had high hopes for the feature, but unfortunately would slip back to a 19th-place finish.
On Saturday evening the action shifted to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.), where 12 Crate Late Model entries took part in the program. Poore overcame various adversities to finish ninth in the night’s 25-lap finale.
The weekend drew to a close on Sunday night at Kentucky’s Lake Cumberland Speedway, where Poore registered a fourth-place finish behind the wheel of his Tarr Chevrolet No. 2 Late Model.
