Dunn, Kuglin, Meirhofer and Hurd Victorious at BMP Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – BILLINGS, Mont. (Aug. 20, 2017) – Chris Dunn, Cody Kuglin, Jeremy Meirhofer and Dennis Hurd returned to Victory Lane on Saturday at BMP Speedway.
Dunn posted his second WISSOTA late models triumph of the season with eighth-starting Kelly Hample charging to a runner-up result. Championship points leader Rayce McCord rounded out the podium with Dan Henrikson advancing from ninth to fourth place and Hank Berry powering from 14th to fifth place.
Mike McCord and John Lighthizer were the heat race winners.
Kuglin held off polesitter Steven Stephenson to claim his second WISSOTA midwest modifieds A Main. Kolby Hannah placed third with Dayne Kocher fourth and John Hurd fifth.
Kuglin, Hurd and points leader Dennis Hurd each scored a heat race victory.
Meirhofer maneuvered from fifth to capture his second IMCA modifieds triumph. Hank Berry charged from seventh to second place with points leader Travis Davis garnering a third-place result. Joey Price was fourth and Riley Wolfe fifth.
Berry and Kenny Baumann both picked up heat race wins.
Dennis Hurd became the first three-time winner in the Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series at BMP Speedway. Bill Carey, who won the lone heat race, earned a runner-up result with Joey Price third, John Hurd fourth and Shane Moore fifth.
BMP Speedway hosts the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and IMCA modifieds for the Big Sky Brawl at Billings next Saturday.
