KINZLEY CAPTURES FIRST WIN SINCE 2020
Pole sitter Chris Barros set the pace in the IMCA Modified feature but it was rookie, Logan Schmitz who led from the green flag. Schmitz pulled away quickly as Barros tried to stay with him. Barros slowly started to fade through the field, losing positions to Spencer Wilson, Quentin Kinzley and Marlyn Seidler. It looked like Schmitz was on his way to his first career IMCA Modified win when a mid-race caution regrouped the field. On the restart, Schmitz and Kinzley battled for the lead, throwing slide jobs for the top position. Kinzley grabbed the lead with 10 laps to go but would soon have his hands full with points leader, Jeremy Keller. However, Keller struggled to find a way around Kinzley. Quentin Kinzley held on to win his first victory since 2020 at the Dacotah Speedway. Jeremy Keller had to settle for second place ahead of Marlyn Seidler. Shawn Strand finished fourth while Spencer Wilson rounded out the top five.
