Vandenbergh notches 10th-place finish in Lincoln's Hell Tour visit

Kicking off his Fourth of July weekend with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Kolby Vandenbergh trekked to Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Ill.) on Saturday evening to return to the driver’s seat of his Rocket XR1 Chassis No. 15 Late Model. With a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Brandon Sheppard lining him up sixth on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Kolby faded six spots in the caution-free 50-lapper to record a 12th-place outing. On Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.), Kolby timed in eighth fastest in his group before placing third in his heat race. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Vandenbergh clawed forward two spots in the 40-lap affair to place 10th.
