Troy Sanford
Lincoln, NE
Driver Information
Troy's love for racing is something that runs in his blood. Troy practically grew up at the racetrack. He spent too many hours to count out in the garage with his dad, Todd Sanford. Troy's family has a long history in racing with his dad racing a modified Troy's entire life, his grandpa Jerry Sanford racing back in the 60 and 70's and then his great uncle Kenny Gritz who won the Knoxville Nationals in 1969. Kenny always raced the number 12 and that is what number Troy has always used to honor Kenny. Racing is a family event for the Sanford family and Troy would not want that any other way.
At age 5 Troy started racing a Go-Quad and at age 8 he started in a Cage-Kart where he had a lot of success. This will be Troy's first full year in a Sport-Modified. He will primarily race at Eagle Raceway on Saturday nights. Troy is looking forward to the challenge ahead of learning how to wheel this car to the front!
