Benedum fourth in Jim Stout Memorial at Elkins Raceway
Staying in his home of West Virginia over the weekend, Mike Benedum travled to Elkins Raceway (Kerens, W.Va.) on Saturday afternoon for the third-annual Jim Stout Memorial.
Topping the charts in qualifying, Benedum went on to win the Fast Dash which placed him on the pole for the feature. In the $5,037-to-win main event, Mike led early before losing a couple spots on a late restart. He wound just off the podium in fourth behind race-winner Tyler Carpenter, Shane Hitt and Jacob Hawkins.
