Stormy Scott notches runner-up finish in HTF opener at I-75 Raceway
Stormy Scott invaded the Volunteer State over the weekend to compete in the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series doubleheader at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.).
With Friday night’s preliminary event kicking off the tour’s Championship Weekend, Scott qualified second-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With a $10,000 prize on the line in the opener, Scott pushed forward, advancing six positions to ultimately claim a runner-up finish. He joined race-winner Cory Hedgecock and Dale McDowell on the podium.
On Saturday, Stormy’s fourth-place outing in his heat race pinned him on the seventh row for the $20,000-to-win Championship Weekend finale. Capping off the weekend with another strong run forward, Scott drove to a seventh-place finish in the 50-lap affair.
