LOLMDS Speedweeks visits BRP and All-Tech

Johnny and Stormy Scott followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.) on Monday afternoon for the two-day K&N Filters Winternationals. With 43 Late Models entered, Johnny grabbed the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat while Stormy came one spot short with a fourth-place finish. Following a fourth-place finish in his consolation event, Stormy took a provisional and recorded a 19th-place outing. Johnny clawed forward one spot in the 40-lapper to finish 14th. For another $10,000-to-win A-Main on Tuesday, both drivers failed to claim a transfer spot in their heat, sending them into the B-Main. Locking in the Top 2, Johnny came in fourth while Stormy scratched with a provisional already secured. Piloting’s Johnny’s car, Stormy only competed a few laps before pulling in.

After an off day on Wednesday, the Scott brothers headed to All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Thursday for the General Tire Winter Nationals. Taking the Top 4 from heats, Johnny recorded a seventh-place finish while Stormy placed eighth. With both drivers failing to finish second or better in their B-Main, Stormy was granted a provisional into the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Stormy was an early exit with eight circuits remaining.

For the finale on Saturday after Mother Nature axed Friday’s program, Johnny came in seventh in his heat while Stormy trailed him across the line in eighth. Sending the Top 3 into the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Johnny finished fourth with Stormy finishing fifth. Starting in 24th, Stormy gained five spots in the 50-lapper to finish 19th.
