Fifth-place finish in Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway

With Friday’s opener at C.J. Speedway (Columbus Junction, Iowa) falling to Mother Nature, Johnny Scott returned with the Lucas Oil LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) on Saturday afternoon at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the Slocum 50. (Mike Ruefer photo)

Following a second-place finish in his heat race, Scott clawed forward one spot in the 50-lap feature to place fifth. He trailed Dennis Erb Jr., Chad Simpson, Ryan Gustin, and Chris Simpson to the checkers.

Johnny remains leading the latest Lucas Oil MLRA point standings.
