Stormy notches Top-5 finish in Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway

After losing Thursday and Friday’s events, Stormy Scott followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Saturday for the 15th annual CMH Diamond Nationals. With lingering rain delaying the program over two hours, Stormy followed up the fastest time in his qualifying with a heat race victory. Earning the pole position for the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Scott ran a steady pace throughout the 50-lapper, scoring a fourth-place finish when the checkered flag flew. He followed Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards, and Kyle Bronson across the line with Earl Pearson Jr. coming in fifth. (Heath Lawson photo)
