Wrisco Winternationals Bring Stormy and Johnny to East Bay

On Monday evening Stormy and Johnny Scott followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the 44th annual Wrisco Winternationals. Drawing a stout field of 62 cars for the six-day event, Johnny secured his spot into the opening night feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Jimmy Owens while Stormy got turned sideways in his heat, relegating him back to a 6th place finish. Failing to place 2nd or better, Stormy was granted a provisional into the A-Main. Johnny slipped back to a 24th place outing after drawing a caution on lap 13 while Stormy gained five spots to place 22nd.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win A-Main, both Stormy and Johnny fell short of a transfer spots in their heat race sending them into the B-Main. Coming short of a transfer position in their consolation event, Stormy and Johnny were forced to rely on a provisional into the show. On Thursday night, Johnny came in 6th in his heat while Stormy registered an 8th place finish. After scratching from their consolation events, Stormy received a provisional while Johnny sat the remainder of the evening out. Stormy dropped two spots in the 40-lapper to place 29th.

After coming in 5th in his heat on Friday evening, Stormy posted a 6th place finish in his B-Main. Johnny recorded an 8th place finish in his heat before scratching from his B-Main. Receiving a provisional into the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Stormy improved six spots to land a 17th place outing.

On Sunday afternoon both Stormy and Johnny stopped at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Florida) for the $10,000-to-win Winter Nationals. In a field of 34 LOLMDS entries, Stormy followed up a 6th place finish in his heat with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Johnny came in 9th in his heat before placing 7th in his B-Main.
