Scott Follows Lucas Oil Late Models to Cherokee and Smoky Mountain

On Friday night Stormy Scott was one of 37 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the 22nd annual Grassy Smith Memorial. Following a seventh place finish in his heat, Scott fell short of a transfer position in his B-Main with a sixth place finish, forcing him to rely on a provisional into the opening night feature. Improving five spots in the 50-lap affair, Stormy logged a 21st place outing.

The following night at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the Mountain Moonshine Classic, Stormy came in ninth in his heat, transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place third or better, Scott was granted a provisional into $15,000-to-win finale. Passing six cars in the 60-lapper, Stormy Scott posted a 20th place finish.
