Stephen Klinect had been racing modifieds since 2008. He started out at Lorain county that year winning 1 feature and claimming rookie of the year. In his sophomore season at Lorain he won 3 features and finishing runner up in the points. From 2010 to 2014 he raced full time and Sandusky speedway winning 15 features finishing in the top 3 in points thru those season and winning track championship in 2013. Since the beginning of 2015 Stephen has started traveling to different tracks and racing 10 to 12 times a year. This 2016 season Stephen will have a brand new Burkett/nester racecar traveling to Michigan, Indiana and thought Ohio to race. Our first race will be Mansfield speedway May 22nd with the top speed modifieds.
Stephens family has had a long history of short track racing. His grandfather "windy" Klinect start back in 1953 at local dirt tracks. He also ran drag way 42 throughout the 1970s. Was a mechanic in the great American race in the late 1980s then through the the 1990s him and Stephens father mark owned a Enid driven by Jeff walker.
Stephens father mark also drag races motorcycles at drag way 42 from the late 70s to the early 80s
