Podium finish in Will McGary Memorial at I-30 Speedway

Saturday night found Jon Mitchell in action at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) for the Will McGary Memorial. Drawing 21 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries for the event honoring an Arkansas police officer who died in the line of duty, Mitchell topped the speed charts in time trials before cruising to an 8-lap heat race victory. Starting on the pole for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Jon took part in a heated battle for the lead in the first 10 laps with Spencer Hughes. After getting passed for second on lap 28, Mitchell settled with a third place finish behind Hughes and Logan Martin with Brian Rickman and Timothy Culp rounding out the Top-5.
