Mitchell lands third place finish in Cold Turkey 40 at Boothill

Jon Mitchell traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday afternoon to pilot his W&W Timber No. 5 Crate Late Model for the Cold Turkey 40. Drawing 37 cars, Jon jumped up two spots in his heat race to register a runner-up finish behind Dean Abbey. Starting the $2,000-to-win A-Main in fifth, Mitchell muscled forward two spots to place third behind Morgan Bagley and Rob Litton with B.J. Robinson and Jamie Buford rounding out the Top-5.

The following night at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Tex.) for the Turkey Nationals, Mitchell edged his way into the main event with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. With $2,500 on the line, Jon passed five cars in the 30-lapper to finish eighth.
