Theiss Attends Freedom Classic at Salina Highbanks Speedway

On Friday night Austin Theiss traveled to Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) for the two-day event sanctioned by both the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA). After mechanical issues prevented him from competing in his heat, Theiss advanced through the field 10 spots in his B-Main only to come up short after a late-race spin.

Returning on Saturday for the second round of the ARMI Freedom Classic, Theiss jumped up two spots in his heat logging a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the finale, Austin scored a 3rd place finish positioning him 17th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Austin Theiss was an early retiree from the 40-lap feature while being credited with a 23rd place outing.
