Runner-up Finish at Southern Oklahoma Speedway

Friday night found Austin Theiss return to action at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) for the Sooner Late Model Series sanctioned program. Passing three cars in his heat race, Theiss landed a runner-up finish locking him into the 4th-starting position for the $750-to-win A-Main. Breaking into a podium spot, Austin jumped up two spots in the 25-lapper to place 2nd behind Bo Day with Gary Lowe, Ritchie Burcik, and Sammy Wilson completing the Top 5 finishers.

Saturday brought Theiss to Chatham Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana) for another $750 top prize. Moving up two spots in his heat, Theiss recorded a 3rd place finish positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the feature. Holding his spot for the entire distance of the A-Main, Austin posted a 7th place outing.
