Podium Finish in Second Round of Wes Hurst Memorial at Cocopah

Jake was in action over the weekend at the Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Arizona for the 9th running of the Wes Hurst Memorial.
Friday night, he raced from third to second in bis heat race to lock himself into the $2,000 to win feature. In the feature, he redrew 7th and raced his way to the lead after a spirited battle, but once he got to the lead he broke a left front spindle and then lost his brakes, forcing himself to retire early, ending his night.

Saturday, he won his heat race from third, redrew the 5th starting spot in the feature and come home with a solid 3rd place in the $3,000 to win feature event.

On to Vegas this weekend!
