Taylor races to eighth-place finish at North Central Speedway

Jeff Taylor trekked to Princeton Speedway (Princeton, Minn.) on Thursday afternoon to kick off the Land of 10,000 Lakes 10k. Drawing a stout field of 83 IMCA Modifieds, Taylor got behind the eight ball in his heat after drawing the eighth-starting position, but gained four spots to finish fourth. Rolling off sixth for his B-Main, Jeff got caught behind a tangle between two competitors that ended his night immediately.

The following night at North Central Speedway (Brainerd, Minn.), Jeff charged forward five spots in his heat race to register a fifth-place finish. Unable to gain any ground on a one-lane surface in his B-Main, Taylor logged an 11th-place outing.

Returning to the same track on Saturday, Taylor edged his way into the main event with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Steve Arpin. Starting the feature in 16th, Jeff advanced through the field eight spots in the 30-lapper to register an eighth-place finish.

For the finale on Sunday at Granite City Motor Park (Sauk Rapids, Minn.), Jeff posted a second-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the main event. Losing three spots in the 50-lap affair, Taylor recorded a 14th-place finish.
