Success at IMCA Super Nationals
This past weekend, Kamera McDonald, raced at the IMCA Super Nationals in Boone Iowa. Her race started in Heat Race #3. Here she started in the second row, outside out of a 30 car field. She was able to drive into third for a few laps, then fell back to 4th. This is where she finished her heat. A 4th place finish qualified her for the A main. Kamera started 15th in the feature. She was able to gain a few spots in the first 4 laps. A couple of cars in front of Kamera tangled and brought out a yellow. Kamera tried to miss the wreck, but one car slide into her as she was passing. Some minor nose damage occurred, but she had to stop her car. Boone Speedway has a rule that if you are stopped when the yellow flag comes out, you go to the back. Consequently, the 62k had to go to the back. Kamera drove an excellent race after that, wheeling the 62k back up to 17th.
