98T Wraps Up 2015 JMS Points Championships In AMod and BMod Classes
Tyler wrapped up the 2015 JMS point championships in 2 classes on Saturday night. Although there is one final points race on September 5th, Tyler leads both classes by more than 60 points over the current 2nd place drivers in both classes. 60 points are awarded to 1st place finishers. Tyler led the entire AMod feature by a comfortable margin until the final turn of the last lap when the engine gave out allowing 3 cars to pass him as he coasted to the checkers for 4th place.
In the BMod feature Tyler closed the gap on a hard charging Jacob Hobscheidt late in the race only to see the two cars tangle on the backstretch sending Tyler to the pits for repairs on the last lap after both had cleared a lapped car. Unfortunately for the fans, instead of seeing these two trade slide jobs on the final turn for the win as they had done the previous circuit, a yellow was thrown, a restart crash collected Hobscheidt preventing a possible win for the young gun and after a second restart Tyler manged to salvage a 5th place finish after a green/white checker.
