King of the Highbanks Brings Berry Jr. to M-Town

Tom Berry Jr. entered the opening round of the King of the High Banks on Thursday evening at Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway.

Fifty-seven IMCA Stock Cars were on hand, and with double heat races taking center stage Tom charged from ninth-to-fourth in his first heat race with a second-to-first performance in the next heat.

Via his performances in preliminary action Berry Jr. locked into the ninth-starting spot for Friday night's 50-lap, $5,000-to-win finale.

He slipped as far back as the 16th position before rebounding to a 14th-place finish.
