Mixed Bag of Weekend Results for Berry Jr.
Tom Berry Jr. entered a pair of IMCA Stock Car events over the weekend in Iowa.
Action opened on Friday night at Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway with 30 entries in the pit area. Winning his heat race from the fourth-starting spot, Tom locked into the sixth-starting spot for the feature.
Storming to the lead on the first lap of the feature, Tom led all 25 laps to bag the apparent win. Unfortunately, he would be stripped of the win in post race tech due to the right-rear shock being 1/2" too high.
On Saturday evening Berry Jr. regrouped and invaded Boone (Iowa) Speedway. Forty-one competitors were on hand, and Tom charged from fifth-to-second in his heat race to earn the fifth-starting spot for the feature.
He advanced to a third-place finish in the 25-lap feature behind Troy Jerovetz and Josh Daniels with Dan Mackenthun and Jay Schmidt rounding out the Top-5 finishers.
