Brandon Overton makes Longhorn Factory Team debut at Gateway Dirt Nationals
On Thursday afternoon, Brandon Overton made his first start behind the wheel of the Longhorn Factory Team / Riggs Motorsports No. 76 machine as well as his Gateway Dirt Nationals debut at The Dome at America's Center (St. Louis, Mo.).
Topping the field in his qualifying group, Overton sat on the pole of the evening's first heat race before he slowed with right-front damage. He finished 10th and was placed deep in a qualifier on Saturday.
After not being able to transfer out of his qualifier, Brandon recieved a provisional starting spot for the 40-lap, $30,000-to-win finale. Overton started 20th and made up six positions to finish 14th.
