Top-10 finish in Pittsburgher at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway
Making a surprise start aboard a Team Zero Race Car, Brandon Overton unloaded the CrossFit Overton No. 76 Late Model at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) on Friday for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Great Lakes 50.
After early mechanical failures forced to him break out his Longhorn Chassis for the feature, Overton muscled forward seven positions to finish 13th.
For the 35th Pittsburgher on Saturday at Pittsburgh’s Pa. Motor Speedway (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Brandon laid down the second-fastest time in his qualifying group before placing first in his heat. Chasing a $30,000 top prize in the main event, Overton was forced pitside while running fourth on lap 54 with powering steering issues. He rallied from the tail in the final 22 circuits to finish 13th.
Brandon slipped to fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
