Looking forward to a better weekend
Last weekend we raced at Skyline Speedway on Friday night. I drew pill #21 so that lined me up starting 5th in the 2nd heat. The car felt good, we got caught up in a wreck on lap 1 that I got turned into the front stretch wall. Then we lined back up and I was moving to the front until our bad luck caught up with us again. We was all racing hard and I went to the bottom and got together with someone when the field checked up and I ended up with a flat tire.
So that sent us to the B-Main where I started 8th. I got a really good start and moved into the top 5 on the first lap then going down the backstretch I hit a slick spot and the car went straight for the pits. So I had to back out of it and lost of the spots I just got. Then on the 2nd lap Ben Ayers car broke and was sitting right in the middle of the track. I was inches from missing him but Curt Reck was not so lucky and hit him and tore up both cars pretty bad. I am glad they both were alright and hope to see them get the cars back together and see them back at the track. I ended up finishing 6th in the B-Main so my night was over.
Looking forward to a better weekend this upcoming weekend. We found a few more things wrong with the car so we are getting the bugs worked out of it then it will be time to go racing. We are planning on heading to Skyline Speedway on Friday and I-77 Raceway Park on Saturday this week. Hope to see everyone there.
