Van Dam Registers Five Wins, Track Championship During 2015 Season

Inside Line Promotions – ENUMCLAW, Wash. (Oct. 26, 2015) – Henry Van Dam has several things to be proud of following the 2015 season.
Van Dam finished with five feature victories, which ranks only one shy of his season best, and he recorded his second career track championship at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash.
“We don’t judge ourselves based on results, but it is a great bonus to earn five wins and a championship,” he said.
All five of Van Dam’s victories came at his hometown track, which bested his previous high of four wins in a season at Grays Harbor Raceway. He reached Victory Lane at the 3/8-mile oval on May 23, June 20, July 11, Aug. 1 and Oct. 3 this year.
“It’s always important for us to run well at Grays Harbor because that’s where a majority of my sponsors and fans are able to watch us race,” he said. “I can’t thank all of them enough for the support.”
Van Dam also recorded at least one top-five finish at Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Ore., and Central Washington State Fair Raceway in Yakima, Wash.
“We started the season in January in Arizona, raced in Las Vegas with the World of Outlaws in March and then ended the year this month in California at the Trophy Cup,” he said. “Other than those few races everything was in the Northwest so hopefully next year we can get on the road more often.”
Van Dam said he plans to start the 2016 season at the 2nd annual Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton, Ariz., in January.
