Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 26, 2015) – Andee Beierle recently moved to Knoxville, Iowa, to be close to the action as she embarks upon her first season of driving a 410ci sprint car.

Unfortunately, Beierle has only been able to compete one time since moving into the top level of sprint car racing. Beierle sustained mechanical issues in early May during hot laps at the second FVP National Sprint League and has been parked ever since.

“It’s extremely difficult,” she said. “It’s hard because I’m so close to where I want to be in my goal. It’s hard to watch everyone else keep racing and I just don’t have that opportunity right now.”

Beierle and her team are having their lone 410ci engine rebuilt and will miss this weekend’s FVP National Sprint League events. She anticipates her next race will be the June 27 NSL event at Knoxville Raceway, where she has watched racing the past couple of weeks.

“I guess the goal is still to run as many shows as we can and get seat time,” she said. “No matter when we get the motor back I just need to make laps. I think any race you miss is a step backwards. That’s just more time that you could be out there learning. We’re trying to hit a lot of tracks and learn. The process has just been delayed.”

Beierle investigated renting an engine to compete during the past couple of FVP National Sprint League events, but decided it was better to be patient.

“We’re already on a tight budget so the risk would be hurting an engine,” she said. “Then we’d have to rebuild two engines. I’d rather be out there racing, but the smartest thing for our program is patience.”
