Beierle Reaches First 410 Feature with National Sprint League at Huset’s

Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (July 28, 2015) – Andee Beierle is happy with how her return to sprint car racing played out last Sunday at Huset’s Speedway.

“The car felt great,” she said. “I’m glad how everything turned out and that we were able to roll it in the trailer at the end of the night. I’m really happy with the first night back.”

Beierle had missed more than two months of competition because of a lack of an engine after stepping into the 410ci ranks this year for the first time. Sunday’s FVP National Sprint League event was not only her return following the delay, it was also her debut at Huset’s Speedway and only her second career 410ci race.

“I’m still learning and still very much a rookie,” she said. “I think it will take a while until I’m used to it and how the car feels. I wasn’t focused on results. I just need laps. I don’t care if I take first or last. I just want to finish in one piece and know I made some good laps throughout each night.”

Beierle opened the event by qualifying 25th quickest before she finished eighth in a heat race. She then spent the first half of the feature – her first ever in a 410 – gaining experience and comfort in the car before a bolt in the throttle linkage came out on Lap 19, which sidelined her with a 23rd-place result.

Beierle will return to FVP National Sprint League competition this Thursday and Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.

“I’d like to keep improving on my comfort level and getting used to the car and getting used to using the full power,” she said. “That’s the main focus.”
