Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 12, 2015) – Andee Beierle is seeking an engine after her weekend debut in a 410ci went up in smoke.

Beierle is without an engine following mechanical problems that sidelined her on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway during the first-ever FVP National Sprint League event at the half-mile oval.

“I think I made two or three laps in hot laps and it just let go,” she said. “There was smoke and then it let go. That’s just part of racing. It’s a machine and a bunch of metal parts. It’s going to happen.”

Beierle is hopeful to buy, borrow or rent an engine to compete in the upcoming FVP National Sprint League events. If anyone has an opportunity, email ABeierle41@gmail.com.

Last Friday marked Beierle’s first career race with a 410ci engine as she competed with the FVP National Sprint League at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb.

“The first time was incredible,” she said. “I just can’t believe the difference in everything. They take off way faster than anything I’ve driven. That extra power makes the handling a lot easier. It was a great experience and it went really well. The car was in one piece at the end of the night and that’s one of the most important pieces.”

Beierle opened the night by qualifying 27th quickest. She then finished seventh in a heat race and ninth in the B Main.

“I wasn’t going for positions that night,” she said. “I was going for the feeling and getting used to the car. I felt like as the night went on I was able to do a lot better. It showed in hot laps at Knoxville on Saturday because I was able to have full confidence in the car and not lift because the track was so tacky. I definitely progressed and got more confident. I just hope we can get back on the track sooner than later.”
