Sam Mattox grew up a racing fan. Any given weekend was dedicated towards watching racing growing up. Sam graduated from Texas A&M University and secured a job in the electrical engineering field in 2022. He always kept an eye on Legend Cars through the years. As Texas Independent Racing continue to lead the charge of the resurging Legend Car scene in Texas, the time was right for Sam to finally get into racing for real in the fall of 2024.

First career start: October 19, 2024. Finished P14/14. DNF.
