Motor damage may cost Terrell All Pro Series point lead

Sebastopol hot shoe seeks available ride this Saturday in hopes of maintaining All Pro point lead

[b SEBASTOPOL, CA 7-6-10] - Sebastopol's Bradley Terrell returned to Petaluma Speedway last Saturday night in hopes of using his extensive knowledge of his home track to gain the competitive edge against some of California's best 360 sprint cars. For much of the night Terrell fared extremely well but in the end the ill wind of luck blew in his direction and ended his night just a few laps before the checkered flag.

"We we're really having a good night all together," said Terrell. "We weren't too fast in qualifying but we nailed the set up perfect in the heat race and in the main. We just got bitten by some hard luck once again."

In qualifying, Terrell turned a 12:983 second lap on the 3/8 mile track which placed him 16th on the roster for the evening. In his heat race he finished 4th to secure a starting position in the 30-lap A-feature.

Starting in the 15th position, Terrell worked his way through the field Saturday night and was clearly strapped into a top three car and he picked the positions off one by one and reached as high as the 7th position. As he worked on entering the top five, trouble broke out for Terrell during a yellow flag when a disturbing noise came from the power plant of the #43 sprint car.

"As soon as I heard it I knew it wasn't good," said Terrell, who pulled to the pit area during the yellow flag. "We pulled it apart and could see a broken lifter so our night was definitely over and our point lead might be in danger this week."

Due to the damage combined with a busy schedule and a lack of resources available in a tight time frame, Terrell and his team are uncertain if they will be able to return to the Petaluma Speedway All Pro Series this Saturday night. Terrell is busy searching for the needed resources to make the repairs while searching for an available driver's seat for this week's event."

"It's very unlikely we will be able to get our car fixed in time," said Terrell, who leads the Petaluma Speedway point standings. "So I am really focused on finding an available car to drive for this week. If we can make that happen it will help us keep our points lead and give me the time needed to make the repairs. Right now it's all uncertain but hopefully I'll find a way there."
