Bogucki Leads SawBlade.com Sponsored Team to Top 10 in Iowa

Inside Line Promotions – WEBSTER CITY, Iowa (Aug. 23, 2018) – Scott Bogucki bounced back from bad luck during the 360ci and 410ci versions of the Knoxville Nationals earlier this month with a 10th-place finish last Saturday at Hamilton County Speedway during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com show.
Bogucki, who is the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year Award with the series, started the night with a fourth-place finish in a heat race.
“I spun my tires on the start and got freight trained around the high side,” he said. “In the feature it was pretty much follow the leader. Sam Hafertepe Jr. and I had a great battle for 10th.”
Bogucki’s 10th-place finish was the SawBlade.com sponsored team’s 16th top 10 of the season.
The ASCS event on Sunday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo., rained out.
Bogucki will take this weekend off before traveling to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., on Sept. 1-2. He remains eighth in the ASCS National Tour championship standings.
“We will enjoy this weekend off and I get to spend it with my parents before they head home,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to Lake Ozark. It’s another new track for me. They say it races like Skagit Speedway so I’m excited.”
