Ian Madsen Slated for Knoxville Raceway Homecoming

PETERSEN MEDIA- With the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series idle for the Easter Holiday, Ian Madsen and the KCP Racing team will have a homecoming of sorts as the two-time Knoxville Raceway Champions will be in action at the track’s season opening event on Saturday night.

“I am really looking forward to getting to Knoxville Raceway and competing on Saturday night,” Ian Madsen said. “Our team is essentially based out of Knoxville, IA and we have so many partners in the area that it means a lot to be able to race in front of them when we can. Thanks to everyone who has made this weekend possible.”

Fresh off a 12th place finish at the rain shortened Texas Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, Madsen, who sits eighth in the 2019 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series standings with one feature event win, will get back to the track where his KCP Racing team called home until heading on the road for the 2018 season.

With two track championships to their credit, the KCP Racing team is feeling good about getting some home cooking.

“We have had a lot of success at Knoxville Raceway in years past, and with the speed we have had so far in 2019, it would be great to get this car back into Knoxville victory lane,” Madsen added. “We will have a ton of partners on hand Saturday night, and we are all looking forward to a fun night of racing.”

Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Aspen Aire, Royal Flooring, Bobcat, Kline Electric, Ted’s Body Shop, Team Excavating, Greenland Homes, American Express, TammyHeckart.com, Quality Traffic Control, BergenKDV, P1 Race Wear, and BK Racing Titanium for their support this season.

2019 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-14, Wins-1, Top-5’s- 5, Top 10’s-5
