4th Place at Selinsgrove on 4-13-12
Friday April 13 was the second race of the season at Selinsgrove Speedway. After last week’s issues Jacob Moose Racing came into this race with high expectations and looking for a good run. In the heat race Jacob started 3rd and when the checkered flag fell on the heat race, he finished 3rd, holding off the strong charging #1 of Brice Harro. Jacob and Dad had discussions on what changes to make to the carburetor for the feature, with temperatures dropping on the cool evening; we decided not to make any changes for the feature. Starting 3rd in the feature, when the green flag dropped, the engine was sluggish off the corners and on starts. Jacob ended up bringing the car home in 4th place for the feature event. We have added some additional monitoring equipment to assist us with making the correct engine settings in the future. We will be back in action next Friday April 20th at Selinsgrove Speedway.
