2011 Selinsgrove Banquet
The Selinsgrove Banquet was held on November 12th at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel. It was JMR’s first time to attend the Selinsgrove Banquet and to say we were very impressed with everything would be an understatement; it just goes hand in hand with the racing facility at Selinsgrove. The food was really good, great people and really nice awards for the drivers. Jacob ended up the season in 5th place in points, which was one of our goals at the beginning of the season. It was good to see everyone that we raced all summer with again and talk about the upcoming season and what everyone’s plans are for 2012. Jacob is setting his goals a little higher for the 2012 season at Selinsgrove, we’ll have to wait and see if he achieves his goals. We have created a 2011 Banquet photo album in the “Gallery” section. Up next is the Checkered Flag Fan Club banquet on December 3rd, photos and write up will follow the banquet, then the Shippensburg Banquet on January 14th.
The car has been stripped and frame is back from the powder coater, the chassis is about 50% put back together, along with replacing the normal components that wear during a season of racing. The body is still out at the painters, but should be back sometime within the next two weeks. The engine is still with Bob Albright being repaired for the engine failure back in August. JMR will be running a very similar paint scheme as last year with more “black” on the car and different graphics, we are pleased to announce that we have picked up some new sponsors for the upcoming season; once the details are finalized we will make a press release for the 2012 sponsors.
