It was a productive night for us here in Waco, TX. Though the results may not show it, we learned much about the car and what we need to do in the future. Pill number 28 was what I pulled and that put me starting 7th in heat 2 of 4 consisting of about 25 cars. The track was black slick already in the heat on the bottom and partially middle grooves but heavy up around the top. Just about everybody finished where they started including me, which placed me 19th in the starting grid for the 25 lap A-feauture. Now the middle was slick too and all that was left was the top lane. On the initial start, I fell back a bit while I was stuck on the bottom and trying to make some early moves. Through cars dropping out and me passing a few, I ran up to about 15th or 16th for most of the race. After a few cautions and a couple reds, I found myself too tight on entry for especially the last stint of green flag action. We came home 15th but it was a good experience running the full feature. Now we hope that the rain stays away from Cowtown Speedway here in Kennedale, TX for Saturday night racing as it is an 80% chance of precipitation all-day. Look for more updates to see if we raced and how we faired if we did.
