2010 Season in Review
The 2010 racing season brought the harsh realism of the rollercoaster ride in the racing world. Through the agony of defeat and the ever so sweet joy in victory, the race team experienced the highs and lows this race season. Coming off an ideal racing season in 2009, the team was not yet fully aware of the disappointment and frustrations that this sport can bring. Mechanical failures seemed to be our biggest deviance this year. We suffered two blown motors, two broken transmissions, a clutch, as well as a rear end gear failure. Although these failures were of a natural cause and mostly unpreventable, the team still felt the frustrations of their hard work and preparation being all for naught.
I believe this is where our team stands out from the rest. As I mentioned earlier, we experienced both the highs and lows this season. Even when we returned to the shop discouraged, everyone was quickly back to work once again preparing the car and insuring we had done everything we could to be back out front the next race. This for me is where our team came through the disappointments, to create yet another unforgettable and respectable season! Through it all we still brought home 6 feature wins, a 4 feature win streak at the Deer Creek Speedway, six 2nd place finishes, 18 top five finishes, 24 top ten finishes, and 11 heat race wins all in 26 completed races. These consistent results gave us a track championship at the Southern Iowa Speedway, making us back to back champions in 2009 and now 2010! In addition we earned a respectable 4th place finish in the national points standing of the USRA B-Modified division.
Through the defeats, victories, and consistent finishes the team never forgot the great people behind this race team. I would like to express a special thank you to you, the fans and supporters of our team in 2010. It is great people like you that allow me to live out my dream in racing.
